Seated Model - Sculpture

This is the first of two sculptures I finished at a VisArts class in Rockville centering on figurative art. This was completed after three three-hour sessions with a model. The clay was fired for us at VisArts and I just picked it up. I think this one was a success. Mostly, I feel like I captured the model's position and musculature fairly well. The class was a good introduction to the art of sculpting. I'm sure that I'll continue to try figures and faces on my own.
